  • Attachment

    An attachment is a document sent with an email message. Many types of files can be sent this way (e.g. Word documents, PDFs, Excel files, JPEGs)

  • Automatic Document Feeder

    Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) is a feature allows users feeds a multi-page document - one page at a time into a copier or scanner.

  • Bypass tray

    Bypass tray is a manual paper feed tray that allows you to feed special material ( label sheets, tab paper, heavy card stock, and other special media).

  • Canon

    Canon (Canon, Inc.) is a global company that specializes in imaging and optical products, including photocopiers, printers, cameras, and computer printers.

  • Cloud Printing

    Cloud printing allows the user to print to a remote copier or cloud-enabled printer via email, web-connected device or cloud application.

  • CMYK

    A subtractive color model that uses cyan, magenta, yellow, and black (process colors), and is used in color printing; a color model used in the printing of colors in four-color process printing.

  • Collate

     Collate is to print multiple copies of a multi-page document in the same order as the original.

  • Copier

    Device capable of print, scan, copy functions and may include fax capability.

  • Copier Rental

    A copier rental is a flexible arrangement that allows individuals and businesses to temporarily lease copier equipment for a specified period.

  • Cost Per Copy

    Cost to print or copy a page.

  • Device Location

    The placement of copiers and printers to enhance productivity, maximize use and reduce costs..

  • Double Sided Copy

    Double-Sided Copy is printing or copying on both sides of the page automatically, using a copier or printer's built-in duplexer.

  • Drum

    The drum in copiers and printers is the component that receives the image from the laser and transfers it to the paper to produce the final image or print.

  • Encryption

    Encryption is the process of converting electronic data to an unrecognizable or encrypted form, one that cannot be easily understood by unauthorized parties.

  • End of Lease

    Schedule time when leased copiers and/or printers are to be returned to the leasing company or bank.

  • Ethernet

    A common way of connecting computers on a network with a wired connection. It is a type of local area network (LAN) technology, providing a simple interface for connecting multiple devices.

  • Finishing

    Finishing referes to Staples, Hole Punch, Folding and Sadle-Stitch Binding. 

  • Four Color Printer

    A printing device that uses cyan, magenta, yellow, and black ink or toner.

  • GDPR

    General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area.

  • ICC profile

    An industry standard color profile format developed by the International Color Consortium (ICC).

  • Job

    A file consisting of PostScript or PCL commands and comments that describe the graphics, sampled images, and text that should appear on each page of a document, and the printer options that should be used in printing, such as media or finishing options.

  • Konica Minolta

    Konica Minolta is a Japanese technology company that manufactures business imaging products.

  • LAN

    A local area network (LAN) is a system that connects computers and other devices that share a common communications line and/or wireless link.

  • Lease

    Lease allows an organization to obtain office equipment (copiers, printers, etc) through a stream of pre determined payments.

  • Lexmark

    Lexmark (Lexmark International, Inc.) is an American company based in Lexington Kentucky that manufactures laser printers and imaging products.

  • Malware

    Malware stands for malicious software. It refers to a software program that has been developed to do harm to other computers.

  • Managed Print Services

    Process including assessment, optimization and on-going management sometimes including automated supply replenishment orders.

  • Mobile Printing

    Ability to print from mobile devices such as tablets, PDA, or smartphones.

  • Print Assessment

    Print Assessment is the process that will review all of your copy and print devices, their usage and related costs.

  • Print Fleet

    Devices capable of printing, copying, and faxing in your office.

  • Print Rules

    Software enforces rules and suggestions that manage what users can print, copy, fax, or scan.

    An additive color model that makes a range of colors by combining red, green, and blue light, called the additive primaries.

  • Scan to Cloud

    Ability to scan directly to a cloud-connected app, such as Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, etc.

  • Scan to Email

    Ability to scan a document directly into an email.

  • Scanning

    Using software to convert a paper document into a digital version for easier retrieval or insertion into a workflow.

  • Sharp

    Sharp is a leading provider of reliable multifunction printers (MFPs)and copiers.

  • Sorting

    Grouping sets of copies in order for the set to be easily identified.

  • Total Cost of Ownership

    Calculation based on price of equipment, pages per month printed, supplies, replacement toner and financing costs.

  • Xerox
