ICC profile

An industry standard color profile format developed by the International Color Consortium (ICC) that describes the color capabilities and gamut, of a color device, based on the differences between the current device and an ideal.

This is often provided by the manufacturer as a color reference file. ICC profiles are implemented in Windows computers in Image Color Matching (ICM) and Mac OS computers in ColorSync.
